False advertisement: Described as 140 oz and 7 x 7 x 11.2 inches. The label states 139 oz and it is under 11 inches. The glass does seem heavy weight. It does look like a barrel, but there are flaws (around 11 air bubbles) in the glass in several places. I cannot vouch if it is airtight.using for pasta, nice item for storageIt was perfect for pickled eggs
